Directions of Scientific Researches: Theory of magnetism for nano-dimensional structures, influence of cluster-type defects on magnetic and electrical properties of perovskite-like metal oxide solid solutions. Optical properties of diamond-like nano-films.
Basic Results
By using the phenomenological theory, the phase diagrams of metastable magnetic ordering in nano-dimentional films have been obtained with the competing character of surface and bulk anisotropies taken into account.
Anomalous behavior of lattice parameter in the region phase transitions and magnetoresistive transition has been revealed by the high-temperature X-ray analysis.
Special laser ellipsometer with the autocollimation control of the angle of incidence has been designed to determine refraction incidence thickness and extinction coefficient of diamond-like films. It has been shown by measurements of the optical transmission of diamond-like films for the wavelength range of 300-1000nm that transmission dependences on the wavelength are approximated by the sum of three Gaussian curves instead of two. Phase contribution has been found to increase with substrate temperature during film deposition.
